Esplanade 12 starts operations

On September 1st, 2023, Esplanade 12 of the port precinct began operations, thanks to a joint effort of ASIPONA Veracruz and ANAM Mexico, this 15.8-hectare area will support the logistics of the automotive industry for export and import, which has a capacity to receive up to 11,000 automotive units, also has a spur adjacent to a triple-track railroad for the handling of automaxes (three-level).

Esplanade 12 adds to the Port’s already existing public car yards, such as esplanades 2, 4, 6 and 9, which added to the facilities of CPV Csi Group (Park Garage) and SSA Mexico, will allow the Port of Veracruz to increase 21% of its installed capacity for automotive units, going from 52,348 spaces to 63,348 as a Port as a whole.

We began operations with the movement of approximately 1985 Volkswagen import units from the vessel “Grande Tema”, docked at Pier 6 North of the South Bay.

This remarkable work required a considerable investment, which reaffirms the commitment and collaboration that this ASIPONA Veracruz has with the automotive industry and especially with the assemblers of national manufacturing.
