Veracruz, Ver.- January 30th , 2015.- The Port of Veracruz now has a new specialized cold chain control facility to import and exported perishables products.
Juan Ignacio Fernandez, API Veracruz, General Director, informed that Grupo Griver and Grupo Romeu de España, invested around 90 million pesos in its construction and operation to handle controlled temperature products.
Reminded that last year the Port of Veracruz and the Port of Philadelphia, settled up the basis to operate a new maritime route specialized on the perishables products movement between this ports.
Said also that in March: “once again buyers from Philadelphia will be here to analyze the project advances; we area also organizing an event with the port of Hamburg through the Mexican Embassy in Germany to establish a similar maritime route.
Mentioned that this new facility operates though certain services of added value as phyto and zoo sanitary inspections, cross docking, containers transferring, labeling and weighing.
With this kind of infrastructure the Port of Veracruz endorses its leadership as the most important commercial port in Mexico, finalized.
